Inquiro Intelligence

Due to launch Summer 2025 Inquiro Intelligence will be offering training and consulting services centred around open source research (OSINT). With the wealth of information that is online about individuals, organisations, causes and events having an experienced OSINT researcher or team is invaluable.

Inquiro Intelligence will be offering a suite of courses to provide OSINT training ranging from Inital Researcher level covering the foundations of online research through to advanced courses looking at Dark Web and exfiltrated data.

The courses will be aimed towards the private sector for those conducting their own internal investigations as well as those focussed on challenging the OSINT findings of other organisations in legal proceedings.

Inquiro Intelligence will offer a holistic consulting service offering a range of OSINT services that will be tailored to the client’s individual needs.

What is Open Source Intelligence?

OSINT is the process of collecting, analysing, and using publicly available information to generate actionable insights. Whilst this information is available to anyone with a simple search effective OSINT requires far more than just knowing how to use Google.

Trained OSINT professionals apply robust structured methodologies to ensure the information they collect is accurate, relevant, timely, and verifiable. They are skilled in identifying credible sources, cross-provenancing information, protecting privacy and security, and importantly identifying mis/dis-information or manipulation.

After over a decade leading Merseyside Police’s Digital Media Intelligence Unit a dedicated on line research team Gareth Wilkinson is now bringing his expertise and experience to the private sector.

Gareth has previously trained a number of police forces both in the UK and overseas, Regional Organised Crime Units and the National Crime Agency. He has delivered lectures for University of Liverpool, John Moores University, Edge Hill University and the College of Policing.

He has also presented at the National Internet Intelligence Investigations Conference and the National Intelligence Conference.

He is a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security, for whom he is an assessor and interviewer for new memberships.
